Job Title: Account Payable Officer

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Account Payable Officer to join our team in Lagos.

Key Responsibilities

• Process, verify, and post invoices and payment requests.
• Prepare and process payments (bank transfers, cheques, and other approved payment methods).
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all payable transactions.
• Ensure timely payment of vendors and suppliers.
• Assist with month-end closing and preparation of financial reports.
• Maintain proper documentation and proper filing of financial records.
• Liaise with vendors and internal departments on payment-related matters.
• Monitor purchase orders and ensure proper matching with invoices and delivery notes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–3 years’ experience in accounts payable, preferably in a QSR or retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and payable processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
