We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Plant Manager

Location: Ilorin, Kwara

Job Description

  • The role is responsible for managing day to day activities of the plant including production processing quality engineering projects and QEHS.
  • Knowledge of food safety management systems such as HACCP FSSC BRC ISO 14000 and experience in managing industrial relations is required.

Strategic Effectiveness
Produce and deliver products:

  • Manage daily production operations
  • Ensure adherence to quality systems
  • Resolve process and system issues.

Production cost optimization:

  • Analyze variances and implement corrective actions
  • Monitor OEEs wastages and conversion costs:

QEHS:

  • Lead QEHS initiatives and partner with the central quality team
  • Implement sustainable systems to improve performance

Engineering and projects:

  • Apply best maintenance practices to improve OEE
  • Control maintenance and repair costs
  • Deliver projects within scope cost and timelines.

Cost efficiency programs:

  • Lead cost saving and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify opportunities and execute cross-functional projects.

Industrial relations:

  • Lead IR discussions and negotiate with unions
  • Maintain industrial discipline and enhance labor productivity.

Budgeting and cost control:

  • Prepare and manage budgets for labor energy materials maintenance and other plant overheads.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in plant management and project activities with strong team management exposure
  • Minimum 15 to 20 years of experience in a leading FMCG company with an engineering degree from a reputed institution
  • Experience in biscuits wafers and bakery manufacturing is preferred.
