We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chinese Translator

Location: Nasarawa
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Chinese Translator to join our team on a full-time on-site job arrangement.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong command of both Chinese and English, with the ability to accurately translate and interpret in both languages.
• The role requires someone who can hear, speak and translate the Chinese language.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate oral and written translations from Chinese to English and vice versa.
• Interpret spoken communication at various occasions, on-site interactions between Chinese and non-Chinese speaking staff.
• Facilitate communication between the security team and Chinese management.
• Translate security documents, patrol reports and emergency plans.
• Assist in managing security patrol and ensure timely communication of emergencies
• Assist the Head of the production department in the supervision of daily activities at the factory site.
• Duly monitor all production activities and ensure the production staff carry out their duties efficiently
• Translate production documents, meeting contents and technical training materials.
• Act as a cultural bridge between the Chinese and Nigerians, facilitating clear communication and mutual understanding.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree with 2 - 3 years of experience.
• Proven experience in translation and interpretation, preferably in a mining, business or technical environment.
• Fluent in both Chinese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Fluency in speaking and hearing Hausa is a plus
• Experience studying or working in China is a plus
• Should be responsible and have good management skills.

Salary
N450,000 - N500,000 monthly.
