We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: People Operations Associate

Location: Nigeria

What You Will Be Doing

  • This role is critical to the daily success of the Corporate People Operations team. You will be responsible for the executing, coordinating and providing key operational and administrative support across the employee lifecycle.
  • This is a hands-on role where your bias to action and willingness to learn will directly contribute to process improvement and high-quality employee support.

Responsibilties

  • Provide timely first-line support to employees on people-related inquiries, escalating complex issues to the People Operations Manager.
  • Execute and coordinate core HR administration tasks, including drafting employee letters, managing documentation, and ensuring accurate records management.
  • Ensure prompt and professional resolution of employee requests through email, internal channels, and the Zoho People Helpdesk.
  • Coordinate the administrative aspects of onboarding for Corporate employees, ensuring all documentation, system access, and scheduling are complete for a seamless new-hire experience.
  • Track and manage probation processes, including confirmations, extensions, and related communications.
  • Support the offboarding process by coordinating system deactivations, processing final documentation, and assisting with exit workflows.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in Zoho People, ensuring integrity across all lifecycle changes.
  • Coordinate the administration of employee benefits processes, including HMO, pension, Group Life Insurance, and background checks, ensuring timely execution and record-keeping under the guidance of the People Operations Manager.
  • Manage the day-to-day workflow of the Zoho People Helpdesk, ensuring employee requests are logged, routed, and resolved consistently and efficiently.
  • Coordinate team meetings, scheduling, and produce accurate meeting notes for the People Operations team.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices, policy updates, and process-related topics to support team initiatives.
  • Proactively contribute to the execution of employee engagement initiatives and events.

What qualifications you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in an HR or People Operations support role.
  • Familiarity with core HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, employee administration, and HR systems management.
  • Ability to work with People data and generate basic reports to support operational decision-making.
  • Bias to Action & Quickness with an intrinsic drive to execute tasks efficiently and solve problems proactively.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and flexibility to manage shifting priorities and embrace new challenges in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear service-oriented approach.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Background:

  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive employee information with high levels of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • High emotional intelligence and a collaborative, service-oriented approach to working with employees and cross-functional stakeholders.
