We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Representative

Locations: Maitama and Kwali, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time
Direct Report to: Head of Marketing
Dotted Report To: Store Manager

Position Summary

  • The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales of SCL’s fresh farm produce (perishable goods) and dry/value-added products across assigned markets.
  • The role ensures effective market penetration, timely product movement, reduced spoilage, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth.
  • The position supports SCL’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Sales of Fresh & Dry Products:

  • Promote and sell fresh farm produce (vegetables, fruits, livestock products, aquaculture products, etc.)
  • Promote and sell dry/value-added products (processed, packaged, and preserved goods)
  • Ensure fast turnover of perishable goods to minimize waste
  • Achieve assigned sales targets across both product categories.

Market Expansion & Client Acquisition:

  • Identify and secure new buyers, retailers, supermarkets, distributors, and bulk purchasers
  • Develop institutional and corporate sales channels
  • Conduct regular market visits to maintain strong customer relationships.

Order Management & Coordination:

  • Process and confirm customer orders accurately
  • Coordinate with store and logistics teams for timely delivery
  • Monitor stock availability and communicate demand trends
  • Support effective inventory movement, especially for perishable goods.

Payment & Reporting:

  • Follow up on payments and ensure timely collections
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
  • Provide market intelligence on pricing trends and competitor activity

Brand Representation:

  • Represent SCL professionally in all engagements
  • Promote SCL’s sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices
  • Maintain high ethical standards in all transactions.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Sales volume of fresh products
  • Sales volume of dry/value-added products
  • Reduction in spoilage and wastage rates
  • Monthly revenue target achievement
  • Number of new clients acquired
  • Customer retention rate.

Qualifications & Experience

  • HND / Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field
  • 2–4 years’ experience in agro-product sales or FMCG
  • Understanding of perishable goods handling and sales cycle
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
