Job Summary

  • Gurusmart Technology LLC is seeking a dynamic Tech Sales & Digital Marketing Executive to drive revenue growth and brand visibility in Lagos, Nigeria.
  • This hybrid, full‑time role blends consultative sales with data‑driven marketing, empowering the company to penetrate new market segments and accelerate adoption of its cutting‑edge technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and Convert: Identify and engage high‑potential prospects through cold outreach, networking events, and inbound channels, closing deals across the sales cycle.
  • Develop Targeted Campaigns: Design, launch, and optimize integrated digital marketing campaigns (SEO, SEM, email, social, and content) that generate qualified leads and nurture prospects.
  • Align Sales & Marketing: Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and customer success teams to create cohesive value propositions, positioning statements, and sales collateral.
  • Analyze Performance: Track key metrics (e.g., CPL, CAC, conversion rates, ROI), generate actionable insights, and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Manage Pipeline & Forecast: Maintain a robust sales pipeline in the CRM, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely follow‑up.
  • Build Client Relationships: Foster long‑term partnerships by delivering value‑based consultations and identifying upsell/cross‑sell opportunities.
  • Stay Informed on Trends: Monitor industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Mentor Junior Talent: Provide coaching and guidance to new sales and marketing hires, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of B2B tech sales experience, ideally with a record of meeting or exceeding quotas; at least 1 year managing digital marketing initiatives.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and marketing automation tools (Marketo, Pardot). Solid understanding of Google Analytics, SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush), and paid media platforms.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, persuasive communication, resilience in high‑pressure environments, and collaborative teamwork orientation.
  • Other: Fluency in English; ability to produce content in Nigerian Pidgin or local languages is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s in a relevant discipline.
  • Ideally: 4-6 years of progressive experience in tech sales and digital marketing, with demonstrated success in delivering revenue and lead generation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certification in sales methodologies (e.g., SPIN Selling, MEDDIC) or digital marketing (Google Ads, HubSpot).
  • Experience selling SaaS or cloud‑based solutions within the African market and Global.
  • Multilingual abilities (French, Yoruba, Igbo) or experience working cross‑culturally in multinational teams.
  • Previous exposure to analytics‑driven marketing frameworks (AB testing, predictive modeling).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Pipeline management, objection handling, negotiation.
  • Digital Marketing Proficiency: Campaign planning, content strategy, SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing.
  • Analytical Thinking: Data interpretation, KPI tracking, conversion optimization.
  • Communication: Executive‑level presentation, storytelling, clear written and verbal communication.
  • Team Collaboration: Cross‑functional teamwork, conflict resolution, mentorship.
  • Tech Savvy: CRM, marketing automation, analytics platforms, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, video editing, Graphic design.

Working Conditions:

  • Location: Lagos, Nigeria (hybrid work model; in‑office days combined with remote work).
  • Hours: Standard 40‑hour week; occasional evening or weekend work to meet client or market demands.
  • Travel: Occasional travel within Nigeria (and possibly neighboring countries) for client meetings, trade shows, or product demos.
  • Physical Requirements: Office environment; occasional travel.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range: N200,000 - N250,000 per month, commensurate with experience
