Job Title: Real Estate Lawyer

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The ideal candidate will provide expert legal counsel on all property-related transactions and matters:

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate property sale/purchase agreements, leases, and contracts.
  • Conduct title searches and due diligence on properties.
  • Handle land use, seek approvals, and regulatory compliance matters under Nigerian law.
  • Manage property dispute resolution and litigation with external solicitors.
  • Advise on real estate financing, mortgages, and investment structures.
  • Liaise with govemment agencies (e.g., FIRS, Land Registries).

Qualifications

  • LL.B and BL (mandatory); LL.M is an advantage
  • 8-10 years of post-call experience in real estate law
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian property law and the Land Use Act
  • Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
