Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Revenue Generation:
- Identify, qualify, and convert high-margin opportunities across upstream and midstream operations.
- Drive early-stage opportunity identification through market intelligence, industry engagement, and stakeholder mapping.
- Lead commercial positioning strategies for major tenders and long-term service agreements.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders including: NAPIMS, NIPEX, NCDMB, PETAN.
- Ensure alignment with local content regulations and compliance requirements.
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions, technical forums, and strategic networking events.
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and manage strategic accounts within IOC and indigenous operator networks.
- Translate client operational needs into value-driven technical and commercial solutions.
- Drive account retention, expansion, and long-term partnership development.
- Monitor live contracts and advise clients proactively to strengthen relationship equity.
Market Intelligence & Positioning:
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor positioning, and growth opportunities.
- Develop partnership strategies to enhance service offerings and competitive advantage.
- Provide periodic revenue forecasts, pipeline reports, and executive-level BD insights.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or related discipline.
- MBA or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 7–10 years’ experience in Business Development within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Demonstrated success in securing and managing high-value upstream/midstream contracts.
- Strong industry network within IOCs and indigenous operators.
Core Competencies:
- Deep understanding of Oil & Gas industry standards, contracting models, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian local content requirements.
- Expertise in bid strategy, tender preparation, and contract negotiation.
- Commercial acumen and financial modeling capability.
- Executive-level presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking ability.
