We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales / Marketing Officer (Fertilizer)

Location: Kano 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Sales Generation & Relationship Management: Promote, sell, and distribute products to farmers and dealers to meet sales targets. Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and influencers.
  • Market Development & Demand Generation: Execute marketing campaigns and demand-generation activities to increase product awareness. Identify market opportunities and analyze competitor activities.
  • Technical Support & Demonstrations: Conduct field days, demos, and trials to showcase product effectiveness. Provide expert advice on fertilizer usage based on soil and crop needs.
  • Field Operations & Strategy: Conduct regular field visits, gather customer feedback, and assist in developing market strategies. Provide technical training to staff and farmers.
  • Conduct field demonstrations and farmer awareness programs.
  • Promote fertilizers directly to farmers and retailers.
  • Achieve monthly sales and recovery targets in assigned territory.
  • Build strong relationships with farmers, dealers, and influencers.
  • Collect field data, product performance feedback, and competitor insights.
  • Organize farmer meetings, crop seminars, and dealer support activities.
  • Ensure visibility of fertilizers through local promotions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in agricultural sales, marketing or technical sales of fertilizer
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of local agriculture, fertilizers, and crop nutrition.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in learning, digital reporting tools and Microsoft Office.

  • Willingness to travel extensively to rural areas.
  • Ability to work in a team-driven goal-oriented environment.
