We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Environment and Social Safeguards Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT) 

Job Purpose

• To ensure that programme implementation complies with environmental and social safeguards, including gender-based violence prevention and grievance redress mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Environmental and Social Safeguards strategies.
• Ensure compliance with IDEAS safeguard policies.
• Establish grievance redress mechanisms (GRM).
• Implement gender inclusion and GBV prevention policies.
• Monitor training facilities for safety, WASH, and accessibility compliance.
• Conduct safeguards awareness sessions for staff and trainees.
• Childcare development centers management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Social Development, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in safeguards compliance.

Skills:

• Environmental and social risk management
• Gender and inclusion programming
• Policy implementation.
