Job Title: Laboratory Assistant
Location: Dangote Cement Senegal POUT
Job Description
- Ensure the cleaning of premises and equipment in accordance with good laboratory practices
- Sample and prepare materials for laboratory analyses
Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Cleaning and disinfection of premises and equipment
- Sampling
- Preparation for analysis implementation, taking into account the prescribed guidelines and protocols
- Waste management specific to each analysis
- Adherence to instructions
- Understanding the requirements to implement appropriate procedures
- Completing work logs
Qualifications and Professional Experience
- High school diploma
- Basic knowledge of quality
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in hygiene and safety procedures
- Proficiency in cleaning and disinfection techniques and protocols
- Proficiency in waste management procedures specific to the analyses performed
- Proficiency in quality assurance processes and best practices implemented by the laboratory
Job-related HSE skills:
- Ability to use firefighting equipment;
- Knowledge of hazard pictograms;
- Ability to administer first aid;
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety risks related to activities and control measures;
- Knowledge of environmental aspects and impacts related to activities and control measures;
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and postures;
- Knowledge of waste management regulations.
