Job Summary 

• The Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality meals while ensuring consistency, hygiene, and efficiency in the kitchen.
• The role requires creativity in menu preparation, strong leadership in supervising kitchen staff, and the ability to maintain high food quality standards that enhance the restaurant’s reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Nigerian and continental dishes according to the restaurant’s standards.
• Develop and update menu items in collaboration with management.
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served in a timely manner.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Monitor kitchen inventory and request supplies when necessary.
• Minimize food waste and control kitchen costs.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff when necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or food service establishment.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian cuisine and continental dishes.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Culinary training or certification is an added advantage.
