We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: News Editor

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily news production for TV and Radio.
  • Edit and approve news scripts to ensure accuracy, clarity, and balance.
  • Assign stories to reporters and monitor news coverage.
  • Ensure all news content complies with editorial policies and broadcasting regulations.
  • Work closely with producers, reporters, and newscasters to deliver quality news programs.
  • Monitor breaking news and guide the newsroom on timely coverage.
  • Maintain high standards of journalistic ethics and credibility.
  • Oversee news bulletins, special reports, and investigative stories.

Requirements

  • Minimum of BSc/HND in Mass Communication, Journalism, or related field.
  • 3–5 years experience in journalism or newsroom operations, preferably in TV or radio broadcasting.
  • Strong editing and news judgment skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Good understanding of broadcast newsroom workflow.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
