Job Title: Card & Loans Business Manager – Fintech MFB

Job Description

  • Own the strategy, execution, and growth of the bank’s card and loan products.
  • Build product structures, operational processes, distribution channels, and portfolio monitoring frameworks from scratch.

Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Development:

  • Define the strategy for card and loan products aligned with growth targets.
  • Design product features, pricing, and terms based on market insights and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with fintech technology teams to implement card issuance, digital lending, and loan management systems.

Business Growth & Customer Acquisition:

  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire and retain customers for card and loan products.
  • Drive promotional campaigns, partnerships, and incentive structures to grow product adoption.
  • Monitor and optimize customer acquisition cost (CAC), portfolio growth, and revenue performance.

Portfolio Management & Compliance:

  • Own the P&L for the card and loan portfolio, ensuring profitable growth while maintaining portfolio quality.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and NPL trends; escalate high-risk cases to senior management or Credit Committee.
  • Ensure all lending and card operations comply with CBN and NDIC regulations.

Operations & Process Excellence:

  • Establish end-to-end workflows for loan disbursement, card issuance, collections, and settlements.
  • Introduce automation and reporting tools to enhance underwriting, repayment, and portfolio tracking.
  • Define KPIs to monitor portfolio growth, revenue, NPLs, and customer satisfaction.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in executing card and loan operations.
  • Mentor and train junior staff as the vertical scales.
  • Provide actionable insights to senior management for strategic decisions.

Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields
  • MBA or professional certifications (CFA, CPA, Risk Management) are a plus.

Experience:

  • 8+ years in cards, loans, retail, or SME lending business management, preferably in a bank, microfinance, or fintech environment.
  • Proven track record in launching, scaling, or managing loan and card products.
  • Experience in digital lending, fintech banking, or MFB operations is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of credit scoring, underwriting, loan monitoring, and collections in line with CBN/NDIC regulations.
