Job Title: Facilities and Premises Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a Facilities and Premises Officer to oversee the day-to-day maintenance, safety, and functionality of our premises.
  • This role ensures that facilities are well-managed, clean, secure, and supportive of organizational activities.
  • You will ensure our premises are well-maintained, safe, and fully operational.
  • You’ll manage building maintenance, supervise any on-site staff and contractors, ensure utilities and safety protocols are observed, and support the day-to-day operations of the property and AA Matthew office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day management of the estate, office premises, and related facilities.
  • Supervise repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
  • Coordinate and monitor contractors, artisans, and vendors (plumbers, electricians, cleaners, security, etc.).
  • Conduct routine inspections and resolve facility-related issues promptly.
  • Ensure utilities (electricity, water, waste disposal, generators, etc.) are functional and bills are paid on time.
  • Maintain accurate facility records including logs, contracts, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and tenancy regulations.
  • Manage emergency repairs and provide quick solutions to facility problems.
  • Support office readiness and ensure spaces are functional for operations.
  • Source quotes for goods and services, manage budgets, and coordinate facility improvement projects.
  • Implement energy conservation and cost-saving measures.
  • Manage tenant relations, tenancy agreements, and compliance.
  • Oversee short-let bookings and activities, ensuring cleanliness, readiness, and smooth guest experiences for local and international clients.

Requirements

  • HND / B.Sc in Facility Management, Engineering, Estate Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in facility/estate management.
  • Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and staff.
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to respond to emergencies and unforeseen issues.
  • Knowledge of safety, health and security standards/regulations in Nigeria.

Salary
N150,000 / month
