About the Role

  • We are seeking a smart, motivated, and enthusiastic Graduate Engineer Trainee with a background in Materials & Metallurgical Engineering to join our team in Sabon Wuse, Niger State.
  • This is a unique opportunity for a fresh graduate to gain hands-on exposure within a fast-paced Steel and Iron Production Industry, working directly with industry experts and modern production technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in materials testing, quality checks, and metallurgical evaluations.
  • Support daily operations in steel and iron processing units.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, process optimization, and failure analysis.
  • Work with senior engineers to monitor metallurgical processes and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and data analysis.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities across the production line.

Requirements

  • B.Eng / B.Sc in Materials & Metallurgical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong interest in steel and iron production processes.
  • Good analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of metallurgical processes such as heat treatment, alloy design, microstructure analysis, welding metallurgy, etc.
  • Familiarity with engineering software/tools is an added advantage.
