We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Heavy Duty Technician

Location: ALaro City, Epe - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing on heavy-duty machinery.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in equipment.
  • Conduct repairs and component replacements as required.

Equipment Inspection:

  • Carry out routine inspections to identify potential issues before they become major failures.
  • Test and verify equipment performance after repairs.

Troubleshooting:

  • Identify root causes of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system malfunctions.
  • Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to resolve issues efficiently.

Field Service Support:

  • Provide on-site technical support for machinery breakdowns when required.
  • Ensure timely resolution of field service requests.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
  • Complete service reports and submit them to the service supervisor.

Safety Compliance:

  • Follow all company safety procedures and industry regulations.
  • Ensure safe use of tools, equipment, and machinery.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with service advisors, parts departments, and supervisors to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Support other technicians and assist in training junior staff when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Relevant technical training in heavy-duty equipment maintenance.

Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience working with heavy-duty machinery or construction equipment.
  • Experience with brands such as excavators, loaders, forklifts, generators, or similar equipment is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmission systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and service equipment.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet service deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

  • Work may be performed in a workshop or at customer sites.
  • The role may require lifting heavy components, working in challenging environments, and occasional travel for field service.

Salary
N250,000 monthly.
