We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cleaner

Location: Yenagoa, Bayelsa

Main Functions

• The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene across assigned areas within the facility.
• The role ensures that workspaces, public areas, and service areas remain clean, safe, and presentable at all times.
• The ideal candidate should be hardworking, attentive to detail, and able to maintain high standards of cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Cleaning & Sanitation:

• Clean and maintain assigned areas including floors, restrooms, workspaces, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize surfaces regularly.
• Ensure waste bins are emptied and properly disposed of.

Facility Maintenance:

• Report any maintenance issues or damages noticed during cleaning.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is properly handled and stored.

Hygiene & Safety:

• Follow hygiene and safety procedures when handling cleaning materials.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions.
• Maintain sanitation standards required for the facility.

Support Duties:

• Assist with additional cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisors.
• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed within the assigned schedule.

Experience / Qualification

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
• 1 – 2 years experience in a cleaning or janitorial role is an advantage.
• Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or facility cleaning is preferred.

Competencies / Skills:

• Good knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation practices.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and materials properly.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and schedules.
