Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant (Numerate)

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Pharmacy Assistant supports the pharmacy’s operational and administrative functions.
  • This role requires a numerate and detail-oriented individual responsible for inventory management, record keeping, data entry, and assisting with financial and stock-related tasks to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate stock and inventory records of medicines and pharmacy products.
  • Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and reorder requirements.
  • Perform data entry and maintain pharmacy recordsin the system or stock register.
  • Assist in processing purchase orders, invoices, and supplier records.
  • Support the pharmacist in pricing, billing, and reconciliation of sales and stock.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock and sales reports.
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, and organizing medicationswhen required.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of prescriptions and invoices.
  • Support compliance with pharmacy regulations and internal procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an OND / HND / BSc in any numerate discipline (e.g., Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field).
  • Basic knowledge of pharmacy inventory systems is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory software, data entry).
  • Good organizational and record-keeping abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • 1–2 years experience in pharmacy, retail, inventory management, or administrative role preferred.
