Job Title: Logistics Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

About the Role

• We are recruiting a Logistics Officer to coordinate the transportation, dispatch, and movement of goods, equipment, and personnel between offices, production centers, and field locations (onshore and offshore).
• The ideal candidate will ensure efficiency, timeliness, and compliance with company and client logistics procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor all logistics and transport operations for goods and personnel.
• Ensure trucks, vans, and buses are properly maintained, inspected, and documented for use.
• Supervise drivers, allocate daily assignments, and monitor route efficiency and fuel consumption.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations teams to ensure prompt delivery of supplies.
• Maintain trip logs, dispatch records, and delivery confirmations in line with company policies.
• Liaise with maintenance team for vehicle repairs and preventive servicing.
• Enforce HSE compliance and ensure all drivers adhere to safety, security, and defensive driving standards.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly logistics performance reports.

Qualifications

• HND / B.Sc Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or related fields
• 4 - 6 years’ experience in logistics operations, preferably within catering, FMCG, or oil & gas services.
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
• Working knowledge of fleet management systems or ERP platforms.
• Valid driver’s license and sound knowledge of Port Harcourt/Delta routes preferred.
