We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Mechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment used in the production process.
• The role ensures that all machinery and mechanical systems operate efficiently to support continuous production at Vitafoam Nigeria Plc while adhering to safety, quality, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and Repairs
• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on production machines and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Identify root causes of mechanical failures and implement effective solutions.
• Work with engineers and supervisors to improve machine reliability.
• Safety Compliance
• Follow all company safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure machines operate according to safety standards and regulations.
• Work closely with production staff and engineers to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Provide technical support during production processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strictly for OND in Mechanical Engineering or related field only.
• Minimum of 5 years practical experience as a Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment (preferably foam or chemical manufacturing).
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, hydraulics
• and mechanical systems.
