Job Title: Procurement Officer

Locations: Iseyin Farm - Oyo and Kwall Farm - Plateau
Department:Administration / Supply Chain
Reports To:Operations Manager
Reporting Protocol: Reports submitted to the Operations Manager with the CEO copied (CC)

Job Summary

  • The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the delivery of farm supplies, equipment, and operational materials.
  • The role ensures that procurement activities are efficient, transparent, and aligned with farm operational requirements.

Description

  • The Procurement Officer manages vendor relationships, purchase orders, and supply logistics to ensure that farm operations have timely access to required inputs such as feed ingredients, veterinary supplies, equipment, and farm materials.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers for farm materials and equipment.
  • Source and purchase farm inputs including feed ingredients, veterinary supplies, and equipment.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders.
  • Track orders and coordinate delivery to farm locations.
  • Maintain supplier records and procurement documentation.
  • Monitor procurement costs and seek cost-efficient sourcing options.
  • Coordinate with Storekeeper to verify deliveries and inventory needs.
  • Maintain procurement records for audit and operational review.
  • Ensure procurement activities follow company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or related fields
  • Experience: 2 - 4 years experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.

  • Procurement and vendor management

  • Record keeping and documentation
  • Cost analysis and purchasing decisions
  • Organizational and communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Ability to coordinate procurement for multiple farm locations.

Remuneration
Salary based on experience(to be determined by management).
