Job Title: Procurement Officer

Locations: Iseyin Farm - Oyo and Kwall Farm - Plateau
Department: Supply Chain / Administration
Reports To: Operations Manager
Reporting Protocol: Reports submitted to the Operations Manager with the CEO copied (CC)

Job Summary

  • The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the delivery of materials, equipment, and operational supplies required for farm operations.
  • The role ensures timely procurement, cost control, and proper documentation of all purchasing activities.

Description

  • The Procurement Officer manages vendor relationships, purchase orders, and delivery coordination to ensure the farm receives the inputs required for smooth operations including feed ingredients, veterinary supplies, equipment, and other operational materials.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Source and purchase farm inputs including feed ingredients, veterinary supplies, and equipment.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders.
  • Track orders and coordinate delivery to the farm.
  • Maintain procurement records and supplier documentation.
  • Monitor procurement costs and identify cost‑effective sourcing options.
  • Coordinate with the Storekeeper to confirm delivery and inventory needs.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or related field.
  • Experience: 2 - 4 years experience in procurement or supply chain operations.

  • Ability to manage procurement processes efficiently.
  • Strong documentation and reporting discipline.
  • High level of integrity and accountability.
  • Ability to coordinate suppliers and deliveries effectively.
