Job Title: Account and Treasury Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Purpose

• Responsible for the general accounting function in Lagos including preparing journal entries, maintaining
• balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. Assisting with monthly closings
• and account analysis and supporting the Team Lead in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting
• department.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Manage GL & Bank reconciliation.
• Manage Cash reconciliation.
• Process Orion postings such CCV, BPV, JV, CRV, BJV, BRV.
• Manage Cash & bank confirmation.
• Process Petty cash report.
• Process Petty cash reimbursement.
• Payment & cheque upload on Zenith Internet Banking.
• Payment & cheque verification with the Finance Manager.
• Payment & cheque approval with the CEO.
• VAT & WHT processing & filling at tax offices.
• Processing of PAYE & other statutory tax obligations.
• Account Files management.
• Any other job description assigned.

Key Performance Indicator (KPI)

• Timely payment of all statutory obligation before the due date (monthly): PAYE, Withholding Tax, VAT, National Housing Fund, NSITF, pension.
• Bank reconciliation (timely completion of bank reconciliation ahead of month end closure.
• Zero tolereance for excuse to all team members.
• Attending to petty cash reimbursement for all outstation.
• Zero level of conflict with team and supervisors.
