Job Title: Group Head, Admin and Finance
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and strategic Group Head of Finance and Administration to lead our finance, accounting, and administrative operations across our real estate portfolio.
- This senior executive role requires a visionary leader with proven expertise in financial management, project financing, fund raising, and organizational excellence.
- The successful candidate will drive financial performance, secure funding for strategic projects, implement robust internal controls, and support the growth and profitability of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all finance, accounting, and administration functions across the organization and subsidiaries
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives and board directives.
- Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management and Board of Directors
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, NFRS, Nigerian tax regulations, audit requirements, and internal control frameworks
- Identify, evaluate, and secure funding sources for projects.
- Lead the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records and timely month end/ year-end closings
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury operations
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and risk management procedures
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes, systems, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance/ Accounting; MBA preferred
- Minimum 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience in real estate, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully securing and managing project financing for real estate developments.
- Demonstrated expertise in fund raising, including experience with bank financing, private equity, and institutional investors.
- Strong experience in real estate project accounting, valuation, and cost management
- Expert knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian Financial Reporting Standards (NFRS) compliance.
- Deep understanding of Nigerian tax regulations, Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA), and SEC requirements.
- Excellent understanding of project financing structures and real estate investment analysis.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
- Professional certification: ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or similar credential strongly preferred
- Ability to work effectively with banks, development finance institutions, and investor networks.
