Job Title: Assistant Operations Officer

Role Overview
- The Assistant Operations Officer will support the day-to-day operational management of the restaurant to ensure efficient service delivery in a fast-paced environment.
- The role involves assisting with staff coordination, monitoring service quality, managing operational processes, and ensuring that customers receive a high standard of service.
- The ideal candidate must be organized, proactive, and capable of working effectively in a busy restaurant setting while supporting the Operations Manager in maintaining smooth restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Assist in supervising front-of-house and kitchen staff during service hours.
- Ensure that food service, customer experience, and operational standards are consistently maintained.
- Monitor staff attendance, shift schedules, and general staff coordination.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints and service issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure the restaurant environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards.
- Monitor stock levels of food items, beverages, and operational supplies.
- Assist with inventory management and coordination with suppliers when necessary.
- Support the implementation of operational procedures and service standards.
- Maintain basic operational records including daily sales, inventory, and incident reports.
- Assist in training new staff and reinforcing service standards within the team.
- Support management in ensuring efficient workflow during peak service periods.
Requirements
- 2–4 years’ experience in restaurant operations or hospitality management.
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment is required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Good leadership and team coordination skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy service periods.
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations, hygiene standards, and customer service practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in restaurant supervision, shift leadership, or operations support.
