Job Title: CCR Operator
Location: Dangote Cement R, Congo
Job Summary
- The CCR Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling the cement production process from the Central Control Room (CCR).
- The role ensures stable plant operations by supervising process parameters through automated control systems and coordinating with field operators to maintain optimal production performance.
- The CCR Operator plays a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, process stability, and compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Functional:
- Monitor and control plant operations through the Distributed Control System (DCS).
- Adjust process parameters to maintain stable production and optimal equipment performance.
- Coordinate with field operators to ensure proper equipment operation.
- Monitor key process indicators including temperature, pressure, and material flow.
- Identify process deviations and take corrective actions.
- Ensure stable operation of major equipment such as raw mill, kiln, and cement mills.
- Record operational data and maintain accurate production logs.
- Communicate operational issues to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Support process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in training programs and performance evaluations organized by the company.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Head of Department.
Profile Required
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Bac+3/4) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in process control or industrial plant operations.
- Experience in cement plant control room operations is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of cement manufacturing process.
- Understanding of industrial process control systems (DCS/SCADA).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interpret process data and adjust operating parameters.
- Attention to detail and operational discipline.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
