The UPU Special fund Management Board (USFMB) is an organ set up by the Urhobo Progress Union National Ezxecutlve Committee. The Board projects to raise over a billion naira annually through the scheme and shall deploy versatile technology that will allow it access to all Urhobo indigenes both at home and in the Diaspora, allowing web-based payments and adopting e- ID Cards.
The UPU has earmarked the funds thereby raised to be used for projects and schemes that will propel the development and progress of the Urhobo Nation. The Board is saddled with the judicious management, use and investment of the fund ensuring strict application to the ideals of the Urhobo Nation.

In furtherance of the mandate of the USFMB, the Board is desirous of setting up an Executive A-Team that will execute its day-to-day programme. The Board is at this time in search of the Team leader, who shall be the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the fund reporting to the Board.

Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The COO shall undertake the following immediate assignments/responsibilities
  • In liaison with the Board, draw up an organizational structure for the fund and recruit the A- Team.
  • Design and implement systems and processes for the effective and efficient operation of the fund.
  • Set up an elaborate and extensive fund raising and collection network that will serve the objective of the Board.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the fund.
  • Set up an effective MIS providing regular and periodic reports to the Board.

The candidate for the COO position is expected to meet the following criteria
  • A Bona-fide Urhobo indigene.
  • A minimum of first degree with preference for business studies.
  • Previous cognate experience in working with a financial institution at managerial level and/or experience in running a business enterprise will be a sure advantage.
  • Demonstrable interest and familiarity with technology is a definite edge.
  • Ideally, the candidate will not be less than 35 years or more than 50 years of age.
  • Ability to speak Urhobo language fluently is also of added advantage.

Remuneration
The remuneration for this position is attractive and commensurate with the responsibility of the position with an added incentive of a performance bonus.
