Job Title:  Female School  Receptionist

Location: Jericho, Ibadan - Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a Female School Receptionist who is organised, proactive, detail-oriented and capable of supporting a busy school office.
  • The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors, while providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
  • This role requires someone who is professional, dependable and able to manage responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced school environment.

Key Responsibilities
Reception and Front Desk:

  • Welcome pupils, parents, staff and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Manage the school reception area and ensure visitors follow sign-in procedures.
  • Respond to admission enquiries and vendors appropriately.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide general office support including photocopying, printing and laminating.
  • Maintain clear and accurate handwritten and digital records where required.
  • Assist with meeting notes and basic documentation.

Attendance and Records:

  • Support daily pupil attendance monitoring and maintain accurate records.
  • Record late arrivals and early departures and update school databases where required.

Communication and Organisation:

  • Maintain the reception notice boards and ensure information is clear and up to date.
  • Support the tracking of school events, birthdays and important dates.
  • Assist with creating simple weekly content highlighting school activities for social media.

Parent and Pupil Support:

  • Respond professionally to basic parent enquiries regarding school procedures and schedules.
  • Provide simple assistance to pupils with minor concerns such as lost items.

Ideal Candidate

  • Education: A degree in Administration, Management or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a school environment.
  • Applicants must reside in Ibadan and be able to commute easily to Jericho.

Key Skills and Qualities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Clear and legible handwriting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital systems
  • Professional, polite and confident in dealing with parents and visitors
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
  • Proactive and able to support senior administrative staff effectively.

Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 monthly.
