De Palm Food Cafe is a duly registered food service company with head office in Abuja. They deal in both indoor and outdoor services with local and continental dishes.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cashier

Location: Area 11, Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

• We are looking for a trustworthy and friendly Cashier to manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently.
• The ideal candidate will be the "face" of our café, ensuring a positive first impression and a smooth checkout process.

Responsibilities

• Transaction Management:Process cash, card, and transfer payments using the POS system.
• Customer Greeting:Welcome customers as they arrive and provide them with menus or information on specials.
• Order Taking:Accurately input food and drink orders into the system and communicate them to the kitchen.
• Account Reconciliation:Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of every shift and report any discrepancies.
• Issue Receipts:Provide change and receipts to customers and handle any basic billing inquiries.
• Area Cleanliness: Maintain a tidy and organized workstation/counter area.

Requirements
Education:

• Minimum: SSCE / WAEC / GCE.
• Preferred: OND / NCE in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

• 1–2 years of experience as a cashier or in a retail sales role.
• Tech Skills: Experience using POS software(e.g., Kora, Kippa, or similar) and card machines (POS terminals).

Skills:

• Basic Math: Strong ability to calculate change and handle cash without errors.
• Customer Service:F riendly, patient, and professional attitude even during busy hours.
• Communication: Clear verbal communication to explain menu items and prices.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in entering orders and counting money.
• Integrity: High level of honesty and accountability.

Other Requirements

• Professionalism: Neat appearance and a polite demeanor.
• Punctuality: Must be consistently on time.
• Documentation: Must provide at least two verifiably guarantors.
