Job Title: Accountant

Location: Utako, Abuja (FCT)

Role Overview

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Accountant who can bring structure, financial intelligence, and operational discipline to a growing real estate enterprise.
  • This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in fast-scaling environments and wants to play a strategic role in building strong financial systems - not just maintaining them.
  • The Accountant will oversee full-cycle accounting operations, financial controls, commission structures, reconciliations, reporting accuracy, and compliance across multiple business units.
  • You will work closely with executive leadership to provide financial visibility, support strategic decisions, and ensure scalable accounting processes are implemented across branches.
  • This is more than bookkeeping - this is financial stewardship for a high-growth real estate organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting operations (A/R, A/P, general ledger, reconciliations).
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Prepare executive-level financial reports and performance dashboards.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee sales receivables, associate commissions, and compensation structures.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of property transactions and revenue recognition.
  • Monitor cash flow and forecasting across projects and branches.
  • Design scalable accounting processes to support multi-state expansion.
  • Improve reporting efficiency and financial transparency.
  • Oversee purchasing controls and expense management.
  • Supervise banking operations and vendor management
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Construction, and Operations teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of progressive accounting experience (real estate or property accounting strongly preferred).
  • Proven experience managing commission-based revenue structures.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (financial modeling, pivot tables, forecasting).
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Familiarity with property management software (Yardi or similar platforms).
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-growth environment.

Salary
N150,000 - N250,000 monthly.
