Job Title: Cane Shredder and Steam Turbine Fitter - 40000TCD Mill Operation

Job Summary
- The Cane Shredder and Steam Turbine Fitter will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of cane shredder and steam turbine equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operation of the mill.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, align, and maintain cane shredders, knives, hammers, and rotors.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform corrective repairs during crushing season.
- Fit, align, maintain steam turbines, gearboxes, and associated drive systems.
- Ensure proper lubrication, balancing, and vibration control of turbine components.
- Assist in overhauls, dismantling, and reassembly of turbine parts.
- Work closely with mill engineers and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operation of shredders and turbines.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
- Adhere to safety standards and use protective equipment during maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and train local fitters and technicians in best practices.
- Share technical expertise to build local capacity and strengthen the maintenance team.
Educational Qualification and Work Experience
- Shall hold the minimum of ND in Mechanical Engineering.
- Trade Test.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, preferable in a sugar mill or manufacturing environment.
