Job Title: Shift Maintenance Engineer - 4000TCD Mill Operation
Location: SSC P-Numan, Adamawa
Job Summary
- The Shift Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for leading the maintenance team on shift, ensuring efficient and safe operation of the mill equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance activities during assigned shifts to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure timely response to breakdowns.
- Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on milling, cane preparation, and auxiliary equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues during operations.
- Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and calibration of critical machinery.
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and repairs.
- Promote safe work practices among technicians and artisans.
- Supervise and guide local technicians and artisans during shifts.
- Work closely with engineers from mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation departments.
Educational Qualification and Work Experience
- Shall hold a minimum of B-Tech/BE/BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- COREN, NSE, or any related professional qualification.
- 2–3 years of experience.
