Job Title: Inventory Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • An Inventory Officer is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and maintaining stock levels within the store to ensure products are available, accurately recorded, and properly stored.
  • The role supports efficient store operations by preventing stock shortages, overstocking, losses, and discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily stock movement of goods in and out of the store.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders or delivery notes.
  • Record all stock transactions accurately in inventory records or software.
  • Conduct routine physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
  • Identify stock discrepancies, damages, expired goods, or missing items and report promptly.
  • Ensure proper arrangement and labeling of products in the store.
  • Track fast-moving, slow-moving, and obsolete items.
  • Prepare periodic inventory reports for management review.
  • Support audits by providing inventory records and stock evidence.
  • Reduce inventory losses through proper handling and accountability.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc. in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 2-3 years experience in inventory, storekeeping, or warehouse operations, preferably in FMCG.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and stock control procedures.
  • Ability to use inventory software, spreadsheets, and basic computer applications.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 per month.
