We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HSE Officer

Locations: Lagos, Ogun, & Zamfara
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce site HSE policies and procedures in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct daily site safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety rules and safe work practices.
  • Carry out risk assessments and job hazard analysis (JHA) for construction activities and ensure adequate control measures are implemented.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all workers and visitors on the construction site.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and regular safety trainings for workers, subcontractors, and new employees on site.
  • Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure all subcontractors comply with site safety regulations.
  • Ensure proper environmental management practices, including waste disposal, pollution control, and site housekeeping.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records and documentation, including incident reports, safety inspection reports, training records, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure availability and maintenance of safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, safety signage, and emergency response equipment.
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures, including fire drills, evacuation plans, and first aid readiness.
  • Advise site management on safety improvements and ensure corrective actions from safety audits are implemented promptly.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 / month
