Job Title: Retail Procurement Head

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Description

• The Retail Procurement Head is responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end procurement activities for Mopheth Pharmacy and Retail Stores.
• This role ensures the continuous availability of quality products (pharmaceuticals, FMCG, groceries, cosmetics, medical consumables, and general retail items) at competitive prices while maintaining strong supplier relationships, ensuring compliance, and driving cost-efficiency across all outlets.

Responsibilties
Procurement & Planning:

• Develop procurement plans and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Track market trends and adjust buying strategies accordingly.

Supplier Management:

• Source, assess, and onboard suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and supply agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance and delivery accuracy.

Inventory Control:

• Prevent stockouts and overstocking.
• Approve purchase orders and ensure timely restocking.
• Work with inventory team on reconciliations and shrinkage control.

Compliance & Quality:

• Ensure all pharmaceutical purchases meet regulatory requirements (e.g., NAFDAC).
• Enforce procurement SOPs and audit recommendations.

Cost & Budget Management:

• Manage procurement budget and drive cost savings.
• Track price changes and share market intelligence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with pharmacy, retail, warehouse, accounts, and sales teams.
• Support marketing with product availability for promotions.

Reporting:

• Prepare weekly/monthly procurement and price analysis reports.
• Maintain proper documentation of vendor agreements and transactions.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a relevant qualification with 3 - 6 years experience.
