Job Title: Head of Credit
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Role Overview
- The Head of Credit is responsible for all credit appraisal, underwriting, and credit approval processes.
- The role focuses on maintaining high asset quality through disciplined credit assessment and portfolio monitoring.
Key Responsibilities – Credit
- Lead credit appraisal and underwriting for all loan requests
- Review loan proposals and recommend approval, decline, or restructuring
- Ensure compliance with approved credit policy and lending standards
- Assess borrower capacity, cash flows, and collateral adequacy
- Monitor portfolio performance and early warning signals
- Support loan restructuring and recovery strategies
- Provide credit input to management and credit committee
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking & Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CFA is an added advantage.
Experience Requirements:
- 8 – 12 years experience in credit management
- Strong hands-on experience in SME and corporate lending in Nigeria.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong credit judgment and underwriting skills
- Financial statement and cash flow analysis
- Attention to detail and sound decision-making
- High integrity and independence of judgment.
