Job Description

• We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to lead financial strategy, reporting, and governance for a dynamic energy company with over four decades of excellence in oil & gas exploration and a growing footprint in lithium mining.
• The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial leadership to support expansion into the evolving energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business growth objectives
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Lead cash flow management, cost optimization, and financial risk assessment
• Provide strategic insights to executive leadership for investment and expansion decisions
• Manage audits, tax planning, and financial controls
• Supervise and mentor finance team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or MSc preferred)
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CFA) is required
• 10 – 15 years of experience in finance, preferably in oil & gas, mining, or energy
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and risk management
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills

Preferred:

• Experience in lithium or renewable energy projects
• ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
