Job Description
- We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to lead financial strategy, reporting, and governance for a dynamic energy company with over four decades of excellence in oil & gas exploration and a growing footprint in lithium mining.
- The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial leadership to support expansion into the evolving energy landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business growth objectives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Lead cash flow management, cost optimization, and financial risk assessment
- Provide strategic insights to executive leadership for investment and expansion decisions
- Manage audits, tax planning, and financial controls
- Supervise and mentor finance team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or MSc preferred)
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CFA) is required
- 10 – 15 years of experience in finance, preferably in oil & gas, mining, or energy
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and risk management
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
Preferred:
- Experience in lithium or renewable energy projects
- ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
