Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Chief Legal Officer to provide strategic legal guidance across a diversified financial services group.
- The role involves overseeing legal risk, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s legal strategy and ensure regulatory compliance
- Advise executive leadership on legal risks and business decisions
- Oversee contracts, litigation, and corporate governance matters
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies
Requirements
- LLB and BL qualification; LLM is an advantage
- Minimum of 12 – 18 years legal experience, preferably in financial services
- Strong expertise in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law
- Proven leadership experience in a senior legal role
Preferred:
- Experience in banking, insurance, or asset management
- Membership in relevant legal associations
Salary
N1,000,000 - N2,000,000 / Month.
