Based on our current expansion and development programs, we are seeking to engage experienced, intelligent and resourceful candidates in the capacity listed below: 

Job Title: Senior Petroleum Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

• The candidate for this position must have strong knowledge of technical practices and principles within reservoir engineering, including but not limited to reservoir performance analysis, optimization of fields and production, development planning, economic evaluation, and reserves evaluation.
• The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of modeling, optimization of well inflow and outflow performance, conceptual well and completion design of the well-reservoir interface, and well integrity management.

 Responsibilities

• Identify and generate opportunities to optimize producing assets, improve recovery, increase production rate, and reserve additions.
• Discover new petroleum reservoirs and develop cost-efficient, effective methods of petroleum recovery.
• Develop reservoir performance predictions and prepare estimates of in-place hydrocarbon volumes using different reservoir engineering principles.
• Ensure reservoir and production due diligence on potential farm-ins and acquisitions.
• Test all petroleum-related equipment and machinery to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor and evaluate reserve performance, including preparing well performance reports and MOPs.
• Develop strategies and methods to recover oil and gas from fields.
• Ensure team members follow the company’s standard environmental and safety regulations.
• Must be result-oriented and committed to company goals.

Qualifications And Required Competencies

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Petroleum Engineering or any relevant engineering discipline with a minimum of Second-Class Upper division. A Master’s degree or equivalent is an added advantage.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of petroleum engineering experience with in-depth understanding of geologic formations and rock types making up the reservoirs, well engineering, and rig operations.
• Experience in field development planning and well/project economic evaluation.
• Competency in the use of reservoir engineering software (e.g., Eclipse, EMBAL, etc.) and Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Must be a good team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work under pressure, ready to travel at short notice, and willing to relocate if necessary.
