Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced and organized Kitchen Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with food safety standards.
  • The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, controlling costs, maintaining inventory, and supporting a smooth and consistent food service operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule kitchen staff
  • Ensure all food prepared meets quality, taste, and presentation standards
  • Monitor food preparation processes and enforce standard recipes and procedures
  • Manage inventory, stock levels, and ordering kitchen supplies
  • Control food costs, minimize waste, and manage portion consistency
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment
  • Train, mentor, and discipline kitchen staff when necessary
  • Collaboration with the Chef and management on menu planning and improvements
  • Handle kitchen-related issues, including equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of food items
  • Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements where needed.

Requirements / Skills

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Solid understanding of kitchen operations and food production processes
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP preferred)
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Financial awareness, including cost control and budgeting
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Salary
N250,000 - N270,000 per month.
