We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Counselor

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

  • The Counselor will provide professional psychological and emotional support services to patients and clients, while ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and adherence to hospital standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide counseling services to patients and clients, supporting informed decision-making and emotional wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation of all care information in the appropriate format.
  • Report departmental issues to the direct supervisor on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Attend to all administrative functions as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Carry out duties in compliance with Lily Hospitals’ Health & Safety policies and statutory regulations.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, clients, and staff.
  • Comply fully with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. / HND in Guidance and Counseling or a related field (e.g., Counseling Psychology).
  • 1 – 2 years relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Registered Psychologist or Counselor with a recognized professional body.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must reside in Benin City, Edo state.
