Job Title: Network Administrator
Location: Congo
Summary
- The Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, security, and optimization of the company’s network infrastructure.
- He or she ensures the availability, performance, and reliability of internal communication systems by performing network installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Functional:
- Administer, configure, and maintain network equipment.
- Monitor the network infrastructure and respond to incidents.
- Manage VLANs, VPNs, security policies, and access controls.
- Install, configure, and update security solutions (antivirus, firewalls, IDS/IPS).
- Ensure network availability and integrity, as well as service quality.
- Document network architecture, procedures, and interventions.
- Conduct performance tests and propose improvements.
- Manage the backup and restoration of network configurations.
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support to users and internal teams.
- Participate in projects involving the evolution or migration of the IT infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and standards.
- Participate in cybersecurity risk assessments.
- Ensure network availability to support industrial operations and production continuity.
Profile Required
Education & Experience:
- Bac+3/4 Degree in Computer Science, Networking, Telecommunications, or a related field
- At least five (5) years of professional experience in a similar role within an industrial setting.
Skills & Competencies:
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
- Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl, or other languages.
- Knowledge of various operating systems and platforms.
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, customer service orientation, and responsiveness.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle critical situations.
