Job Title: Procurement Manager (Retail Sector) – Mid Level

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Procurement Manager will oversee sourcing, vendor management, and purchasing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective supply of goods for retail operations.
• The role requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse/store teams to avoid stockouts or overstocking
• Ensure cost optimization while maintaining product quality standards
• Track market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Manage procurement budgets and prepare reports on purchasing activities
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with finance, logistics, and store operations teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• 4–6 years procurement experience, preferably in retail or FMCG
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Good understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes
• Analytical mindset with strong reporting skills
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office tools.
