Job Title: Managing Director

Job Summary

• Oversee people, work processes, equipment and policies relating to mining production activities.
• Plays a role in the success of the mining company, ensuring that all operations align with the company’s strategic goals and that the company remains profitable and competitive in the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting Company Objectives: Establishing clear goals and objectives for the company.
• Managing Resources: Overseeing the allocation and utilization of company resources.
• Overseeing Daily Operations: Directing the day-to-day operations of the company.
• Reporting to the Board: Acting as the main point of communication between the board of directors and corporate operations.
• Ensuring Compliance: Ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Driving Growth: Fostering long-term growth through effective planning and decision-making.
• Building Relationships: Maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including investors, board members, and partners.
• Leading Business Development: Exploring new markets and opportunities to expand the company’s reach and revenue streams.

Key Requirements

• A very good first degree
• Must have a master’s degree
• Minimum of 15 years of proven years of experience in the mining industry.
• Proven track record in large scale mining projects
• Strong expertise in safety, operations, and regulatory compliance
• Minimum of 7 years in a senior leadership position
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
