Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist

Job Summary

• We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our healthcare team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, analysing samples, and providing accurate results to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and analyse patient samples such as blood, urine, and tissue.
• Perform laboratory tests in areas such as Haematology, Microbiology, Clinical Chemistry, and Parasitology.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Accurately record, analyse, and report laboratory results.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with laboratory safety standards.
• Maintain proper documentation of laboratory procedures and results.
• Work closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure the laboratory environment remains clean and well organized.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
• Good knowledge of laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment effectively.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of working experience in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory and completion of internship and NYSC.
• Experience with modern laboratory equipment and quality control procedures.
