Job Title: Continental Chef
Location: Ikeja (GRA), Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook continental dishes according to recipes and menu specifications
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
- Plan and organize kitchen operations for continental cuisine
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the kitchen
- Supervise and coordinate the work of junior kitchen staff in the continental section
- Monitor inventory of ingredients and kitchen supplies; report shortages and assist in ordering
- Train and mentor junior staff on cooking techniques and plating
- Collaborate with management to plan menus, daily specials, and promotions
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Maintain equipment and report any faults or issues to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Culinary diploma, degree, or relevant certification
- 3–5 years of experience as a chef specializing in continental cuisine
- Strong knowledge of continental cooking techniques and international recipes
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Creative and innovative in menu planning and presentation
- Knowledge of food hygiene, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards.
