Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting, manage day-to-day accounting operations, and support business performance through budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• The role will also be responsible for strengthening financial controls, supporting audit processes, and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial management across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial and management accounts, including monthly reporting for the business unit
• Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including credit control activities
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and year-end reporting
• Develop annual budgets and conduct periodic (monthly/quarterly) performance reviews against targets
• Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and controls
• Lead and coordinate internal and external audit activities
• Conduct financial forecasting and analysis to support business growth initiatives
• Collaborate closely with Financial Reporting leadership to resolve accounting and reporting issues
• Support cash flow planning, monitoring, and control
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and duties as required by management

Requirements

• Bsc in Accounting
• Professional qualification (ACCA or ACA) is required
• Strong analytical, numeric and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite
• Strong accounting and book-keeping skills
• Proficiency in the use of accounting softwares
• Detail orientation.

Salary
N500,000 - N800,000 / month.
