Job Title: Security Operations Manager

Location: Obajana, Kogi

Job Summary

• The Head of Security Operation at Dangote Cement Transport Obajana  will oversee all aspects of security operations to ensure the safety and protection of company personnel, assets, and infrastructure.
• The role involves strategic planning, directing security personnel, and coordinating security systems and protocols across all sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies and policies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Manage the daily operations of the security department, ensuring adherence to all security protocols and procedures.
• Lead and mentor a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of vigilance and accountability.
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and other external stakeholders.
• Oversee incident response, investigation, and reporting processes for security events and breaches.
• Manage the security budget and control costs effectively.
• Stay current with security technology trends and regulations, integrating new systems and processes where appropriate.

Requirements
Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Criminology, or related field.
• 5-7 years’ experience in security operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Experience in industrial or large corporate security environments is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in risk assessment and security audit methodologies.
• Knowledge of security systems, surveillance technology, and emergency response planning.
• Ability to develop and implement security policies and procedures.
• Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• High level of integrity and discretion.
