Job Summary
- Our client is seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all maintenance and repair activities for a fleet of buses.
- The role ensures maximum vehicle availability, safety, and operational efficiency while managing technicians and controlling maintenance costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Assign tasks to mechanics and monitor daily workshop operations.
- Inspect and ensure quality of all repair work.
- Supervise mechanics and other technical staff to ensure productivity.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinate spare parts requests and prevent misuse or wastage.
- Monitor breakdowns and ensure quick resolution.
- Control maintenance costs and ensure adherence to budget.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
- Ensure workshop safety, cleanliness, and compliance with standards.
Key Requirements
- Trade Test, Technical Diploma, and OND / HND / BSc in Automotive Engineering.
- 5–7 years of experience in maintenance of buses, trucks, or heavy-duty vehicles.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in related industries such as logistics fleets, haulage.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, and diagnostics.
- Ability to lead a team and manage workshop operations effectively.
- Good reporting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and accountability.
Salary
N500,000 Gross Monthly.
